Did you know that there’s silicone and non-silicone shampoo? Well it’s been very popular in Japan for a while. If you walk into Japanese drugstore, to the hair care section, you’ll find gazillion non-silicone shampoo brand on the shelf. Yes, it’s really really popular. Or you can drop by Japanese style Drug Stores or Shampoo section in a super market in BKK to see what I mean.
สาว ๆ น่าจะรู้แล้วว่าแชมพูมีแบบที่มีซิลิโคน (silicone) และที่ไม่มีซิลิโคน (non-silicone) ใช่มั้ยคะ แบบที่ไม่มีซิลิโคน หรือ non-silicone นั้นฮิตมากในญี่ปุ่นมาซักพักแล้ว ถ้าสาว ๆ เดินเข้าไปในร้าน drug store ของญี่ปุ่น มุ่งหน้าไปยังแผนกการดูแลเส้นผม คุณก็จะได้พบกับแบรนด์แชมพูที่เป็น non-silicone มากมายบนชั้นวางสินค้า บอกเลยค่ะว่าฮิตจริงจัง หรือสาว ๆ สามารถแวะไปที่ร้านสะดวกซื้อ สไตล์ญี่ปุ่นหรือซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตแผนกแชมพู ใน กทม. ก็จะเห็นสิ่งที่ Aki หมายถึงค่ะ
So why non-silicone? And what’s wrong with silicone shampoo? Absolutely nothing wrong with either. It’s just knowing more about your hair and finding what suites you best.
Silicone in your shampoo is basically what makes your hair frizz-free, or tangle free. It’s what makes your hair silky smooth and easy to comb. But there are people saying that too much usage of silicone may block your pores. Then again, most silicone used in shampoo are water soluble, meaning it will wash away with water.
Therefore, it is also being said that a non-silicone shampoo will make your hair look dry and squeaky. But there are so many out there with essential oil mixed in it….
So… there’s no right or wrong.
But I personally like non-silicone shampoo.
ทำไมต้อง non-silicone? แล้วแชมพูแบบมี silicone ล่ะ?
จริงๆ แล้วไม่มีอันไหนผิดหรือถูก หรืออันไหนดีกว่าค่ะ มันเป็นแค่การรู้และเข้าใจเส้นผมของเรา ช่วยให้เลือกใช้สิ่งที่ดีที่สุดและเหมาะกับเรา ซิลิโคนในแชมพูนั้นคือตัวเคลือบที่ทำให้ผมของเราลื่นไม่aพันกัน ทำให้หวีง่าย ก็เคยมีกระแสว่าการใช้แชมพูแบบมี silicone ต่อเนื่องนานเกินไปอาจทำให้รูขุมขนของผมอุดตันได้ แต่ silicone ส่วนมากที่ใช้ ในแชมพูเป็นแบบละลายน้ำ ซึ่งหมายความว่ามันจะล้างออกได้ด้วยน้ำสะอาด
แน่นอนว่าก็มีกระแสที่ว่าแชมพูที่ไม่ใช่ซิลิโคน (non-silicone) จะทำให้ผมแห้งและฝืด แต่ก็มีแชมพู non-silicone มากมายที่ มีออยล์ผสมเพื่อให้ผมนุ่ม…
แต่ส่วนตัวชอบ non-silicone ค่ะ
As you may already know I love coloring my hair. Just from 2014-2015, I’ve been changing so many hair colors as you can see from the collage below…

So… naturally my hair is super damaged right now… (T_T). My hair is very dry, so is my scalp. Don’t even talk about split ends… it’s everywhere. The main reason I’ve been using non-silicone shampoo is my scalp’s condition. The coloring has made it so sensitive and so dry that I try my best not to irritate it. But because my hair is so dry and damaged now, more moisturizing and nourishing is needed…. So I’ve been coping with my scalp’s dryness by adding coconut oil and Argan oil on my hair.

Because of the oil, even though it’s a non-silicone, I can feel my hair becoming soft and silky as I wash. Oh but the fragrance…. So good.. like aroma therapy… very relaxing.
เพราะมีส่วนผสมของน้ำมันขณะสระก็ไม่ได้รู้สึกฝืดอะไร ก็สระลื่นมือดีนะ แต่ที่แน่ ๆ กลิ่มหอมมาก อารมณ์ประมาณอโรมาเธอราพี ผ่อนคลายดีคะ
I have scalp problem. Yeah right… no kidding… with the amount of hair coloring I did… not surprised right… So I used the pink one the most, for volume and scalp care.
Photo below are before and after of the usage. Before is more flat and oily, but after using, you’ll see the difference.
I don’t know what you guys think, but what obviously surprised me was my scalp condition. Normally even after shampoo, I can feel my scalp dry really fast, but this one… I gotta admit that my scalp condition is pretty nourished. I like that.
Aki จะมีปัญหาที่หนังศีรษะ ก็คงไม่น่าแปลกใจเนอะ ถ้าจะทำสีผมบ่อยขนาดนั้น Aki เลยเน้นตัวสีชมพู บำรุงหนังศีรษะและเพิ่ม volume
จะเห็นได้จากภาพถ่ายด้านล่างว่าผม Aki ก่อนใช้จะดูลีบแบน หลังจากการใช้แชมพูและครีมนวดจะดูชุ่มชื้นและมี volume มากขึ้น
สิ่งที่ประทับใจมากที่สุดคือสภาพหนังศีรษะหลังใช้ ปกติหลังสระผมจะรู้สึกได้เลยว่าหนังศีรษะแห้งอย่างรวดเร็ว แต่อันนี้ไม่แห้งล่ะ
